Food In Buenos Aires
17 03 2007So we came all the way to Argentina to find more authentic Mexican food than in Colorado. Well, maybe the Mexican food in Colorado is authentic and from a different part of Mexico that I have been to. I have only been to the Yucatan Peninsula, and we found a Mexican restaurant here that has food like we found in the Yucatan! I really liked the guacamole as well, and they bring you a ton of it, not just a little spoonful. Everything was very good and reasonably priced.
We love the food here in Buenos Aires. There are fabulous bakeries on every corner with beautiful pasteries and desserts. I imagine heaven is not much different. Buenos Aires also has some of the best ice cream in the world! There is a huge Italian and Spanish influence here, so it is like being in Europe except you can actually afford it! The Italian restaurants all have homemade gnoccis - my favorite!
Buenos Aires is also a large city, so there is food from all over the world. We have had Indian and Thai in addition to the Mexican food. Everyone tells us about the beef here, but we have yet to find the best steakhouse we’ve ever been too. I’m sure it will not be hard.
If you like to eat, come to Buenos Aires.

I’m enjoying following along on your adventure. it’s such a different experience from what Matt and I are doing in China.
I guess your main focus is traveling though and ours is trying to get comfortable and move in. We have started teaching and that’s been a completely different set of challanges. Anyway… keep up with the updates and I’ll check back when I can.
I’m sad that we are going to miss the wedding. I’d really like to see you tow tango at some point.
Cheers,
Marian
